Hankies | 12" x 12 each, overall dimensions variable | cotten handkerchiefs, embroidery floss, clothesline, clothes pins | 2010 |

Drawing from the tradition of monogramming or personalizing our belongings, against loss, as a memento of a special occasion, or a caring acknowledgment, I embroidered a series of words on handkerchiefs. Literally playing on words, depending on their arrangement, this piece also serves as a tender reflection on relationships and the differences shifting one's viewpoint might make. Above currently reads: You don't Love Me Miss Me.

Other possibilities:
I Miss You, You Miss Me, Don't You Love Me, You Love Me, I Don't Miss You, I Love You, I Miss Me...
